Storage firm invests P3B for Taguig facility

ISOC Holdings Inc. has inaugurated a nearly P3-billion cold storage facility in Bagumbayan, Taguig as part of its five-year plan to inject multi-billion peso worth of investments to expand its network in the Philippines.

The facility, under the ORCA Cold Chain Solutions brand, is ISOC’s second storage following the first in Alabang which started commercial operations in 2018.

The Taguig facility, which commenced operations September of last year, is equipped with a 20,000-pallet capacity and serves as the country’s first fully automated cold storage warehouse.

Its services include storage, handling, transportation and distribution to supermarkets, food processing companies, meat and seafood importers and pharmaceutical industries.
ORCA president and chief executive officer Yerik Cosiquien said the company’s expansion is fueled by the “growing global food consumption and demand for reliable cold logistics services available in the country.”

“(The supply deficit) is across the country. That’s why we’re looking to do a network of cold chain,” he said at the sidelines of the inauguration in Taguig on Wednesday.
